The new ShrapKnel album, Nobody Planning To Leave, is out now!

Treble Magazine named it Album of the Week. Post Trash named it Best New Music. The Secret House Against podcast did an amazing review of the album. Make sure to check out the Flood Magazine “Track by Track” where Castro, Prem, and Controller 7 discuss each song. Tour starts this week

ShrapKnel hits the road in support of the new album, with special guests Phiik & Lungs.

Things kick off on Thursday 6/13 in Vermont. Jesse the Tree will also be at the 6/13-6/18 shows. Get tickets to all shows now and stay tuned for more dates!

Special Album Release Show in Brooklyn

If you’re in the New York area, you won’t want to miss the release show on 6/19 at Public Records. This will be one for the books. Besides ShrapKnel and Phiik and Lungs, Child Actor and August Fanon will be in attendance. Controller 7 will also do a set and join ShrapKnel to celebrate their new album. This will be the first time C7 has performed in about 15 years. There may be a few extra special guests too, but you’ll have to show up to find out.

Note: I (Controller 7) will only be at the 6/19 show.

Yes, it’s that Tim Blake Nelson. They also directed the videos for billy woods and Kenny Segal’s “Soft Landing” and Babylon by Bus”

A Week in the Life of a Razor

By the time you read this, the new ShrapKnel documentary “A Week in the Life of a Razor” should be available. For the early birds, it premieres early on June 12th.

I’m not sure what lies ahead, but this has been a pretty exciting week and I look forward to more people discovering the album and also me making more music in the future.

I’ve been a bit busier than usual, but I will try to get back to the regular format of the newsletter. I still plan to break down every release I’ve put out, which means there’s still a lot of good ones to go through. We haven’t even hit Right Handed Straw yet, so there’s still a lot more to come.
